the hair of blue,
will make it true,
that hands will hold,
all branches are gold.

it was such a nice night i didn't even let the bugs bother me.
much cooler now than the swimming red dust of day.
even the farmer's temper tends to cool a degree.
as a sweat boils up inside things the man cannot say.

ok mom, i have no idea.  i've been slacking on my turn to update, and apparently self-imposed guilt comes out as words that don't make any sense and are not spelled right.  i wanted to send it back to you before i left for the rest of the week though.  i feel kind of bad turning grandma into a superhero, although i'm sure she'll use her powers only for good and not evil.

and i'm not sure why i feel the need to color everything in with little lines.  sure has been happening a lot lately though.  make a shape, put little stripes in it.  not good, horizontal stripes make me look fat.  i stay up too late, that's why nothing i write makes any sense.

i LOVE mom's new post.  excellent country-fied pencil rendering.  and the new pic is from 1930, a pic of my grandmother (mom's mom) and her sister.  grandma was a fox!!

well, this has taken me too long to update.  i need to quite being such a slacker.  sometimes i get in stints in filling moleskines, and sometimes they just sit there for too long with anything happening in them.  i wish i knew a way to make myself more disciplined.  maybe someday.  back to you momma!

here's my first addition to the project.  i have a feeling i'm going to end up ruining a lot of mom's drawings throughout this project...
